Verification

Brand verification is the trust mechanism at the heart of the Blindstrader platform. A verified Brand status flows downstream automatically to every Supplier and Retailer using your catalog.

What Verification Means

When a Brand is verified by the Blindstrader platform team:

  • Your Brand account receives a blue verification badge.
  • All fabrics and products you mark as brand_verified = true carry that status.
  • Suppliers who import your verified products inherit the verification on their own products.
  • Retailers who adopt Supplier products display the verification badge to end customers.

Verification Chain

  └── verifies → Brand Account
                    └── brand_fabrics.brand_verified = TRUE
                          └── Supplier imports → supplier_products.is_brand_verified = COMPUTED
                                └── Retailer adopts → retailer_products.brand_verification_status
                                                         = 'fully' | 'partial' | 'none'

Getting Verified

Brand verification is a manual process handled by the Blindstrader platform team.

Requirements

  1. Company registration documents
  2. Proof of product ownership / manufacturing capability
  3. Sample catalog data (CSV or PDF)
  4. A signed Platform Agreement

Process

  1. Register a Brand account on the platform.
  2. Contact platform support via Settings → Verification Request or email verify@blindstrader.com.
  3. Submit the required documents.
  4. The platform team reviews within 5–10 business days.
  5. Upon approval, your Brand is verified and the badge is applied to your account.

Marking Products as Verified

After your Brand is verified, you control which specific fabrics carry the verification flag.

To mark a fabric as verified:

  1. Go to Catalog → Fabrics and open a fabric.
  2. Toggle Brand Verified to ON.
  3. Save.

INFO

You can leave some fabrics unverified — for example, experimental colorways that haven't completed your internal QA process. This is reflected in the partial verification status on downstream products.

Verification and Trust

End customers on Retailer storefronts can see the Brand verification badge on products. This is a key differentiator for Brands on the platform and drives adoption of your catalog by Suppliers and Retailers.

Losing Verification

Verification can be revoked by the Blindstrader platform team in cases of:

  • Policy violations
  • Catalog misuse
  • Fraudulent product claims

If verification is revoked, all downstream brand_verified flags are updated in the next catalog sync cycle.
